El Camino College first baseman Spencer Palmer was named the California Community College Baseball Coaches' Association Southern California Player of the Week, it was announced Thursday.
Palmer had a stellar week for the Warriors to help lead the team to a perfect 3-0 record in games against San Bernardino Valley and Southwestern.
On Feb. 14, Palmer went 2-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored as the Warriors scored an 11-6 victory over SBVC on the road.
On Saturday, Palmer had his best game of the season as he went 4-for-4 with a double, two home runs and five RBI along with three runs scored in an 11-0 rout of the Wolverines.
So far this season, Palmer has been on fire at the plate with a .526 batting average in 11 games played. He has two home runs and 14 RBI and is third on the team with four doubles.
The Warriors host Santa Barbara today at 2 p.m. at Warrior Field.
