TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College opened the new season and the April-Ross coaching era with a 4-1 victory over visiting Cypress on Friday morning at the ECC Sand Courts.

The Warriors did not drop a single set in the four matches they claimed victory. The only defeat came on the No. 2 court for ECC as the team secured Ross' first coaching victory after the beach volleyball legend and three-time Olympic medalist was named the second head coach in program history during the fall season.

The Warriors will return to action on Wednesday when they host Riverside and Ventura at the ECC Sand Courts.
