Warriors Make Debut in CCCSIA Rankings at No. 22
CCCSIA Top-25 Rankings - Poll 4 (April 8, 2025)
LOS ANGELES --- El Camino College made its debut in the California Community College Sports Information Association baseball top-25 poll on Thursday, claiming the No. 22 spot in the state.
The Warriors are ranked for the first time in the poll this season after dominating Compton last week in a three-game sweep. The Warriors outscored the Tartars 53-14 in the series and tallied 40 total hits with 19 extra-base hits including seven home runs.
The Warriors were one of three teams in the South Coast Conference to make the poll with Mount San Antonio and Cerritos ranked No. 2 and 4 respectively.
The Warriors are 12-4 since March 1 and have wins over No. 4 Cerritos and No. 5 Fresno in that span. The Warriors have batted .344 with a .968 OPS including 60 extra base hits with 19 of those being home runs. They have gone 10-3 in conference games with their only series loss coming to Cerritos.
This week, the Warriors will take on Pasadena in a three-game series with two games played at PCC. The Warriors sit in fourth place in the conference standings, one game behind Long Beach and percentage points ahead of the fifth-place Lancers.
Game one of the series is Tuesday with first pitch set for 2 p.m. at Jackie Robinson Park.
