TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College saw its seven-game winning streak to start the season snapped on Saturday afternoon in a 5-1 non-conference loss to Golden West at Warrior Field.

The Warriors managed just one run and one extra-base hit on the day while striking out 10 times. Rustlers reliever Caiden Christianson did the bulk of the damage to the ECC offense as he recorded eight strikeouts and allowed just two hits in three innings of work to get the win.

Anthony Camarena took the loss for the Warriors as he surrendered three runs on nine hits in three and 2/3 innings.

The Rustlers pounded out 15 hits on the day and recorded at least one hit in seven of the nine innings on Saturday.

Despite the offensive barrage, Warriors relievers were able to keep the team within striking distance as Henry Sorman, Gavin Sanchez and Jett Lim held the Rustlers to two runs on six hits in the final five and 1/3 innings with six of the team's eight strikeouts.

The Warriors also had their chances to cut into the deficit but could not come up with the timely hit as they went 2-for-8 with runners in scoring position.

The Warriors will return to action on Tuesday with a road contest at Southwestern.
