Football Falls at Saddleback, Will Travel to Mt. San Antonio for Playoffs

MISSION VIEJO, Calif. --- El Camino College suffered a 49-7 National Southern League loss to Saddleback on Saturday afternoon at Saddleback College.

With the result, the Warriors fell one win short of claiming their second straight league title, finishing behind the Bobcats in the standings.

The Warriors got 82 rushing yards and a touchdown from Jaden Moore to provide the offense. Tyler Black had seven tackles to lead the defense.

The Warriors will now prep for the Southern California Football Association playoffs as they drew the No. 6 seed. It will be the program's second straight playoff appearance. They are slated to take on No. 3 Mount San Antonio after the Mounties claimed the National Northern League title with a 55-54 win at Ventura on Saturday.

It will be a rematch between the Warriors and Mounties after Mt. SAC scored a 37-27 win at Hilmer Lodge Stadium back on Sept. 13.

The teams will hook up again on Nov. 22 at Hilmer Lodge Stadium at 6 p.m. with the winner advancing to the SCFA Regional Semifinals on Nov. 29.
