THEY MEET AGAIN

This will be the second time the Warriors and Mounties face off at Hilmer Lodge Stadium this season. The two squads faced off in Week 3 of the regular season with the Mounties scoring a 37-27 win over ECC. The Warriors took a 13-0 lead into the second quarter but the Mounties ran off 28 straight points in the second quarter to take the lead for good. Damonte Bias had 115 rushing yards in the game to lead the ECC offense.

HOW THEY GOT HERE

The Warriors finished second in the National Southern League after dropping a winner-take-all game against Saddleback on the last game of the season. Meanwhile, the Mounties come in with the No. 3 seed after winning the National Northern League title on the final day of the season with a comeback victory at then-league leader Ventura.

HISTORY

This will be the 43rd all-time meeting between the Warriors and the Mounties with Mt. SAC currently holding a 23-19 lead in the series. The Warriors have lost the last three meetings dating back to 2022. The Warriors' last win at Hilmer Lodge Stadium came in 2018, a 45-41 victory when both teams were in the National Central League.

Saturday will also mark the second straight year the two teams meet in the SCFA Playoffs and third time overall. Mt. SAC scored a 48-24 win last year in the SCFA Semifinals. The Mounties also knocked the Warriors out of the playoffs in 2011 with a 34-7 decision at Hilmer Lodge Stadium.

WHAT COMES NEXT

The winner of Saturday's game will head to Mission Viejo on Nov. 29 to take on the No. 2 seeded Saddleback Bobcats, who earned a bye into the SCFA Semifinals.
