Warriors Blitz Coalinga on Final Day of Tournament

TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College drilled a season-high 13 3-pointers en route to a dominant 92-58 victory over Coalinga on Saturday morning in the seventh-place game of the SBCC/ECC Holiday Classic at the ECC Gym Complex.

The Warriors could not miss from beyond the arc, hitting a season-high 61.9 percent (13-for-21) from distance to win comfortably on the final day of the tournament. Rocco Gaffoglio set the tone as he went 5-for-5 from the field and 4-for-4 from 3-point range in the first half to pace ECC to a 43-28 lead at halftime. He would finish the game with a team-high 19 points in just 25 minutes of action.

After hitting 5-of-8 from beyond the arc in the first half, the Warriors improved on that in the second half going 8-for-13 with Ryder Decena, Jens Bomholt and Elaijah Isenia all hitting two shots from distance. The Warriors also dished out 21 assists on 32 made baskets and outrebounded the Falcons 37-30.

The Warriors also pressured the Falcons into 26 turnovers, netting 18 steals and 34 points off the mistakes. Linken Tate set a new season high with five steals to lead the team. Overall, 14 different Warriors scored a point in Saturday's win.

The team will play one more time at home this calendar year when they host Bakersfield on Wednesday evening at 5 p.m.
