WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. --- Sophomore Rocco Gaffoglio set a new career high in scoring as El Camino College recorded a 71-54 road win at L.A. Pierce on Friday night.
Gaffoglio dropped a game and career-high 29 points on 11-for-15 shooting including 6-of-9 from beyond the arc. It eclipsed his previous high of 24 points set on Oct. 31 in his collegiate debut against Santa Barbara.
His 11 makes were also a career high as was his shooting percentage (73.3 percent). It was also his fourth 20-point performance of the season.
The win marked the team's third straight victory, all of which have come by 17 points or more. It was their sixth win by double digits this season.
Gaffoglio was the only player to reach double digits in scoring for the Warriors but it was more than enough as nine players scored for ECC on Friday. Justin Cricri had eight points with a team-high eight rebounds and Landon Starnes dished out six assists in the win.
The Warriors will be off for the remainder of the 2025 calendar year and return to action on Friday, Jan. 2 with a tough road test at Mount San Antonio. Tipoff is set for 5 p.m.
