TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College suffered an 85-73 loss to visiting Rio Hondo on Wednesday evening at the ECC Gym Complex.
Justin Cricri led the Warriors with 14 points in 26 minutes off the bench with Darrin Poland Jr. adding 11 points on 5-for-11 shooting. Linken Tate set a new career high with nine assists while adding eight points and three steals in the loss.
Matthew Rodriguez and Corlin Bryant led all scorers with 18 points apiece for Rio Hondo with Bobby Reyes adding 17 points and eight steals in the win.
The Roadrunners hit 31 of 33 free throw attempts while the Warriors were 14-for-24 at the charity stripe, which proved to be a big factor in the result.
There were 45 combined fouls called on Wednesday with the teams also combining for 40 turnovers.
The Warriors will return to action on Friday evening when they host L.A. Trade Tech for a 5 p.m. tipoff.
