TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College played Cerritos to a 1-1 draw in a pivotal South Coast Conference, South Division matchup on Tuesday at the ECC Soccer Field.

The teams entered Tuesday's match separated by one point in the SCC-South Division standings and remained that way after playing to a draw.

Sebastian Gomez put the Warriors on the board in the 32nd minute and Cesar Solarzano Garcia equalized for the Falcons in the 62nd minute.

The Warriors outshot Cerritos 21-11 for the match but the teams were even at 9-9 in the second half. The Warriors also had a 9-3 edge in shots on target but could only beat Falcons keeper Griffin Welch once on the day as he finished with eight saves.

Robert Baker made three saves, his biggest coming on a rocket shot from Donovan Perez in stoppage time just before the final whistle blew.

The Warriors currently have 16 points in the division standings while the Falcons have 15 with two matches left before the SCC Tournament. The Warriors will travel to Rio Hondo on Friday and finish up with East Los Angeles on Tuesday, Nov. 5 at home.

Meanwhile, the Falcons travel to L.A. Harbor on Friday and close the conference schedule with L.A. City at home on Nov. 5.
