GLENDALE, Calif. --- El Camino College played Glendale to a 1-1 draw on Tuesday evening at Sartoris Field in Glendale, Calif.
The Warriors took a late lead on a goal by Jaden Hancock but the host Vaqueros drew it even with just five minutes left in regulation for a draw.
With the tie, the Warriors are now unbeaten in their last five matches (2-0-3) after going 1-1 in their first two matches of the year.
Hancock has now scored in three straight matches and leads the Warriors overall with four goals and three assists for 11 total points.
On Tuesday, the Warriors offense blitzed the Vaqueros in the match, particularly the first half. They fired 13 shots at the Glendale goal including 10 on target. But the match stayed level at halftime as Glendale keeper Arvin Navasartian stopped all 10 shots directed at him in the first half.
The Warriors would outshoot Glendale 20-7 overall including a 15-6 edge in shots on target. Hancock finally opened the scoring in the 75th minute but Kevin Anjunyan leveled the score in the 85th minute and that is how the match would end.
The Warriors will now return home for a lengthy stay at the ECC Soccer Field as their next five matches take place at home beginning on Friday with a non-conference affair against Chaffey. Kickoff is set for 1:30 p.m.
