Warriors Demolish Compton at Home

TORRANCE, Calif. - The El Camino College Warriors men's soccer team matched a program high 11 goals in their 11-0 dominant victory over Compton College at Warrior Soccer Field on Friday afternoon.

The last time the Warrior scored 11 goals was in a 11-1 win over Cypress College in 2023. However, it's the biggest win margin in recorded history with 11 goals.  

The Warriors improved to 8-4-5 overall and 3-2-1 in SCC play for the season. 

Jaden Hancock led the Warriors offensive output with a hat trick. Dilan Acevedo and Gavin Hancock each scored a brace. Amir Dawkins, Owen Hancock, Kristian Villalobos, and Takumi Yasui all scored a goal as well. 

The Warriors jumped to an early 3-0 lead in the first ten minutes of the game. Jaden Hancock opened the scoring before Takumi Yasui and Gavin Hancock each scored a goal. Kristian Villalobos and Gavin Hancock scored in the 16th and 21st minute to give the Warriors a 5-0 lead in the first twenty mintues of play.

In the start of the second half, Jaden Hancock scored in the 47th and 49th minute to complete his hat trick. The Warriors got four more goals over the final twenty two minutes from Acevedo (2), Dawkins, and Owen Hancock.

Oswaldo Hernandez picked up the win in goal and made three saves for the game as he picked up his fourth shutout.

The Warriors will remain at home next Tuesday when they host Rio Hondo College. Kick-off is set for 1:30 p.m.
