Dawkins 90th Minute Goal Leads Warriors past Roadrunners

TORRANCE, Calif. - Amir Dawkins once again played the hero late for the El Camino Men's Soccer team with his 90th minute goal against Rio Hondo College to give the Warriors a 1-0 win over the Roadrunners.
In the 90th minute Keima Minagawa passed a ball to Takumi Yasui down the right side of the box. Yasui crossed the ball across the box to a streaking Dawkins who shot it past the keeper to break the scoreless deadlock.
The Warriors outshot the Roadrunners 13-to-7 for the game. However, the Roadrunners had five shots on goal compared to the Warriors four shots on goal. Luis Avelar did well in net to pick up the clean sheet and made five saves.
The Warriors will head to East Los Angeles on Friday for their final road game of SCC play. Kick-off is set for 1:30 pm. The Warriors will return home for their final home game of the regular season on Tuesday, November 4th against LA Harbor.
