No. 4 Men’s Soccer Hosts No. 13 MiraCosta in Second Round of Playoffs

TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College was awarded the No. 4 seed in the 3C2A Southern California Regional Playoffs and will host No. 13 MiraCosta in the second round on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the ECC Soccer Field.

ADMISSION TO 3C2A POSTSEASON EVENTS

Per 3C2A regulations, admission will be required to attend the playoff game on Saturday at the ECC Soccer Field.

HOW THEY GOT HERE

The Warriors finished with a 12-5-6 overall record during the regular season and a 6-2-1 mark in South Coast Conference play. They placed second in the SCC, South Division standings during the year and placed third in the SCC Tournament.

The Spartans finished the regular season with an 11-4-6 overall mark in the regular season along with a 10-3-1 record in conference play to place second in the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference behind defending state champion Cuyamaca.

The Spartans drew the No. 13 seed and had to host a game in the first round of the playoffs, scoring a 2-0 win over Golden West on Wednesday.

LAST MEETING

This will be the second straight year the two teams have faced off in the second round of the 3C2A SoCal Regionals. MiraCosta scored a 1-0 victory in 2024 to knock out the Warriors, who were the defending 3C2A State Champions and No. 3 seed at the time.

UP NEXT

The victor of Saturday's match will take on the winner of No. 5 L.A. Mission and No. 22 Santa Barbara on Tuesday at the site of the higher seed.
