CYPRESS, Calif. --- Sophomore Robbie Josic notched his 100th goal over the weekend as El Camino College opened the 2025 season at the Cypress Tournament.
VENTURA 21, WARRIORS 8
In the opening game of the season, the Warriors fell behind big in the first half and never recovered. But Josic led the offense with four goals on six shots and added two steals in the loss, leaving him six away from 100 career goals.
WARRIORS 16, CHAFFEY 10
The Warriors earned a split on day one after scoring seven times in the first period and 11 goals in the first half. Josic scored four of his six goals in the first quarter.
Josic would reach the 100-goal mark in the fourth quarter, scoring twice as the Warriors pulled out the win. Freshman Alex Bugarin added three goals and Vios Lopez made four saves in the win.
CERRITOS 12, WARRIORS 10
The Warriors came up just short against their conference foes to start day two despite three goals from Zane Johnson and Cooper Josic. Lopez made eight saves and the Warriors got within two goals with 1:06 left in regulation but could not complete the comeback.
CAL TECH 11, WARRIORS 8
The Warriors took a 3-1 lead after one quarter against their NCAA Division III opponent, but the Beavers outscored ECC 8-2 in the next two periods to pull ahead and never looked back.
The Warriors will travel to the Palomar Mini Tournament on Friday to face Grossmont and the host Comets beginning at 10:45 a.m.
