Kastigar Named State Player of the Week, Warriors Ranked No. 5 in Final Poll

LOS ANGELES, Calif. --- Savanna Kastigar was named the California Community College Fastpitch Coaches Association Player of the Week, it was announced Tuesday.
Kastigar claims the final player of the week award of the regular season after having a stellar week for the Warriors.
Kastigar was nearly perfect at the plate last week, going 9-for-11 (.818 BA) with two doubles and one triple in four games. She scored eight runs to lead the team and also drove in three RBIs from the leadoff spot. She stole four bases and walked four times to post an .875 on-base percentage and 1.182 slugging percentage.
She also reached base in 14 of 17 plate appearances last week. At one point, Kastigar reached base in nine straight plate appearances spanning three games. She was hit by a pitch and singled in her last two PA against Cerritos then went 4-for-4 against No. 19 Citrus then reached in her first three plate appearances against Santa Ana before flying out in her last at bat.
With one game left in the regular season, Kastigar is currently batting .508 with 62 hits including six doubles, eight triples and three home runs with 34 RBIs. She leads the team in hits, triples, runs scored (44), RBIs (34), and stolen bases (25).
The Warriors are also ranked No. 5 in the final 3CFCA State Rankings, also released Tuesday. They will conclude the 2025 regular season on Wednesday afternoon at Compton. First pitch is set for 1:30 p.m.
