TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College recorded a pair of comeback victories in a doubleheader against L.A. Mission on Saturday afternoon at the ECC Softball Field.

GAME ONE: WARRIORS 5, L.A. MISSION 3

In the first game of the day, the Warriors found themselves trailing 2-1 in the bottom of the sixth before the offense came alive and scored four runs to secure the win. Trinity Martinez had an RBI single and Miranda Morelos smacked a two-run triple in the sixth to put the Warriors in front for the first time in the game. Morelos would score an insurance run on an error later in the frame to make it 5-2.

It's all pitcher Mahlia Espino would need as the sophomore tossed a complete game, allowing three runs, one earned, on six hits. She struck out four to earn her second win of the season in the circle.

GAME TWO: WARRIORS 11, L.A. MISSION 3 (6 INNINGS)

The Warriors trailed 3-0 after two innings but the team scored seven runs in the next three innings and then put the game away with four runs in the sixth to record the win.

Emily Gamboa was 3-for-4 with two RBIs to lead the team offensively while Abigale Dedech, Ho and Martinez all recorded two hits.

Raquel Alonso scored the win as she tossed six innings and allowed three unearned runs while scattering five hits.

The Warriors will be back in action on Tuesday afternoon as they hit the road to face L.A. Harbor.
