LONG BEACH, Calif. --- El Camino College wrapped up the 2026 regular season with a 5-3 road victory over Long Beach City on Tuesday afternoon at the LBCC Softball Complex.

With the victory, head coach Jessica Rapoza recorded her 327th head coaching win with the Warriors, tying Julie Feenstra for the most head coaching wins in program history. Rapoza accomplished the feat in 11 seasons and 466 total games, seven seasons and 214 fewer games than it took for Feenstra to reach that total.

In Rapoza's tenure at ECC, the Warriors have won four SCC titles and advanced to the postseason in every season she has been at the helm. The Warriors advanced to their first 3C2A State Championship in 2018 and made a return trip in 2025, the program's most successful season. The Warriors won a program-record 39 games in 2025 and finished tied for third in the state, coming one win shy of advancing to the state championship finals.

On Tuesday, the Warriors took a 3-0 lead before the Vikings scored three times in the fifth inning to tie things up. The game would go into extra innings where ECC scored twice in their half of the eighth to take a 5-3 lead.

The Vikings would get a leadoff triple in the bottom of the eighth and two other base runners in the inning but ECC kept the Vikings off the scoreboard to secure the victory.

The Warriors finished the regular season with a 26-14 overall record and a 15-6 mark in SCC play. They tied for third in the conference standings with LBCC, three games back of 2026 conference champions Cerritos.
