Warriors Season Ends at San Diego Mesa
SAN DIEGO, Calif. -- No. 11 El Camino College saw its 2026 season come to an end Saturday with a 13-10 loss to No. 3 San Diego Mesa in game two of the 3C2A SoCal Super Regionals at the San Diego Mesa softball field.
The Warriors and Olympians engaged in a slugfest on Saturday afternoon as the teams combined for 23 runs on 34 hits. The teams traded the lead on four occasions despite the Olympians jumping out to a big 6-0 lead in the top of the first.
The Warriors scored four times in their half of the first and then took the lead in the third inning thanks to a three-run home run off the bat of Gabby Merced, giving ECC a 7-6 lead.
Each team scored twice in the fourth inning to make it an 8-7 game in favor of the Warriors but the host Olympians kept on hitting, adding three runs in the fifth and two in the sixth to take the lead for good.
Merced finished the game 2-for-4 with five RBIs. Melissa Terrazas and Kate Pedroza each finished with three hits and Trinity Martinez finished the game 2-for-5 with a solo home run.
The Warriors finish off the season with a 28-17 overall record.
