TORRANCE, Calif. --- Bella Blum and Marley Zermeno led the way for El Camino College for a 47-27 South Coast Conference win over Compton on Wednesday evening at the ECC Gym Complex.
Blum scored 16 points to lead the team and grabbed a team-high 12 rebounds to go along with four assists. Zermeno scored 14 points and grabbed six rebounds as the duo accounted for more than half of the teams points in the win.
Keloa Tauala and Ay'Mia Smith-Malone each grabbed 11 rebounds with Tauala also dishing out three assists and three steals.
The Warriors trailed the Tartars after the first quarter but rebounded to outscore Compton 43-19 in the final three quarters to score the win to wrap up the first half of conference play.
The team will return to action for the second round of conference action on Friday night when Long Beach pays a visit to the ECC Gym Complex.
