Warriors Have Four Players Selected to All-Conference Team
TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College had four players selected to the 2024-25 All-South Coast Conference, South Division Team, it was announced Monday.
Sophomore Bella Blum and freshman Presley Tanaka were each named to the All-SCC First Team while Marley Zermeno and Keloa Tauala earned spots on the All-SCC Second Team.
Blum led the Warriors in scoring during the season, averaging 17.1 points per game. She was also tied for first on the team in rebounding, averaging 7.4 rebounds per game. Blum scored in double figures in 23 of the 26 games she played this season including seven 20-point games and one 30-point game. She logged a career high 38 points on Nov. 13 at L.A. Trade Tech, going 14-for-22 from the field and 8-for-13 from beyond the arc.
Tanaka played in 17 games for ECC and made 16 starts. She led the team in assists and assist-to-turnover ratio. She also averaged 1.1 steals per game which tied for the fourth best mark on the team.
Zermeno was second on the team in scoring and played in 24 of the team's 26 games during the season. She averaged 4.2 rebounds a game to rank third on the Warriors.
Tauala tied for the team lead in rebounding as she averaged 7.4 boards a game including a team-best 2.2 offensive rebounds a game. She grabbed double-digit rebounds five times on the season and set a new career high with 13 rebounds on Feb. 14 at Cerritos.
