Richards, Kelley Net Career Highs in Loss to Ventura

TORRANCE, Calif. --- Leah Richards and Maya Kelley set new career highs in points and rebounds respectively in Wednesday night's 67-43 non-conference loss to visiting Ventura at the ECC Gym Complex.

Richards set a new career best as she led the team with 12 points on the night, hitting 4-of-10 from 3-point range. She played 37 minutes and also added one steal and one assist.

Kelley led the Warriors with 14 rebounds, also a career best and her second double-digit rebounding game of the year. She finished with five offensive rebounds and also led the team with four assists. Malani Calbert added three steals and two blocked shots in the loss.

For the Pirates, Olivia Decierdo led the way with 16 points while Riannah Lopez had 15 and Kayla Lumis added 13.

The Warriors will return to action on Saturday, Dec. 6 with another home game as they host Copper Mountain for a 1 p.m. tipoff.
