Warriors Drop First Game of Christmas Crossover to Santa Ana

TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College suffered a 68-53 loss to No. 22 Santa Ana on Monday night in the ECC Christmas Crossover at the ECC Gym Complex.
The Warriors hung tight with the No. 22 Dons for three quarters but were outscored 27-16 in the final period to suffer their third straight loss.
Christiauna Taylor Leah Richards led led the way for the Warriors' offense, scoring 14 points while Christiauna Taylor added 13 and Maya Kelley scored 11 with 10 rebounds. Malani Calbert grabbed a game-high 14 rebounds.
Anaya Beard, Faith Ledesma and Kiki Graham all scored 13 points for the Dons in the victory.
The Warriors will wrap up the 2025 ECC Christmas Crossover on Tuesday night when they take on Riverside at 6 p.m.
GAME ONE: SANTA BARBARA 83, RIVERSIDE 50
In the first game of the day, the Vaqueros used a 25-13 second quarter to turn a close game into a rout. Kaylee Lawson scored 24 points to lead the team to victory while Cheyenne Thomas led RCC with 15 points. The Vaqueros will face the Dons in game one of Tuesday's action at the ECC Christmas Crossover.
