TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College suffered a 55-43 non-conference loss to Oxnard on Friday night at the ECC Gym Complex.
It was the sixth consecutive loss for the Warriors, who shot just 28.6 percent from the field. Their drought from beyond the arc proved to be a major factor in Friday's result as the team went 4-for-27 from deep.
Christiauna Taylor led the way for the Warriors with 16 points, four assists and three steals off the bench. She shot 5-for-12 from the field and hit four free throws.
Maya Kelley and Leah Richards each scored eight points with Kelley grabbing a team-high eight rebounds.
America Chavez led the Condors with 16 points and 10 rebounds with Rosalin Moreno adding 13 points, six rebounds and five assists.
The Warriors will be off for the rest of the calendar year and return to action on Saturday, Jan. 3 with a road game at Cuyamaca. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m.
