TORRANCE, Calif. --- A rough fourth quarter proved costly as El Camino College suffered a 48-42 South Coast Conference, South Division loss to Compton on Friday night at the ECC Gym Complex.
The Warriors were outscored 17-8 in the final period which proved to be the difference. The Warriors shot just 16.7 percent (3-for-18) in the final period while Compton was 7-for-11 (63.6 percent).
Christiauna Taylor led the way for ECC with 12 points with Maya Kelley adding 11 with six rebounds and three steals. Morgan Jackson led the team with nine rebounds and Leah Richards dished out four assists.
Allahya Drakes scored 11 points and grabbed a game-high 21 rebounds while Kaniya Madlock led all scorers with 15 points for Compton.
The Warriors will return to action on the road on Wednesday evening at Long Beach.
