TORRANCE, Calif. - The El Camino College Women's soccer team salvaged a 2-2 draw against San Joaquin Delta on Tuesday afternoon at Warrior Field.
The Warriors (3-2-2) were trailing the Mustangs (4-2-2) 1-0 after halftime.
The Warriors outshot the Mustangs 19-to-16 for the game. The Mustangs had 7 corner kicks to the Warriors 0.
The Warriors tied the game in the 62nd minute after the Warriors got a penalty kick. Frankie McKinnon's shirt got tugged after a shot and was prevented from going for the rebound. Sophia Hudson drilled the penalty for the Warriors to make it 1-1.
The Mustangs went ahead 2-1 in the 75th minute after they got a penalty kick. Karlee Lwyandowsky drilled the penalty for the Mustangs to make it 2-1.
The Warriors were granted another penalty in the 90th minute after a Warrior was fouled inside the box. Ruby Colcol shot it past the Mustang keeper to bring the game level again at 2-2.
The Warriors will head to Saddleback College on Friday. Kick-off is set for 3:00 PM.
