Hudson Named Defender of the Year as All-SCC Team Revealed

2025 ALL-SCC TEAM

TORRANCE, Calif. --- Sophomore Sophia Hudson highlighted the El Camino College selections to the 2025 All-South Coast Conference, South Division Team, which was announced this week.

Hudson was named the SCC Tri-Defender of the Year, earning the distinction for the second straight season. She played and started in 13 matches this season and tied for third on the team with three goals to go with one assist while anchoring the defense on the back line.

Along with Hudson, six other players were selected to the All-SCC Team. Jordan Stemberga, Leah Garcia and Lily Fulton earned All-SCC First Team honors with Evie Campbell, Citlalli Sarahi Sanchez and Barcelona Heredia earning spots on the All-SCC Second Team.

Stemberga played and started in goal in all 20 matches this season for the Warriors, playing all 1,800 minutes to set a new ECC record. She posted a 1.55 goals-against average and made 90 saves with five shutouts.

Garcia tied for the team lead with seven goals scored and added four assists while playing in 18 matches. She was second on the team with 18 points.

Fulton played and started in all 20 matches for the Warriors and scored one goal on the season. She was a big part of the ECC defense on the back line.

 Campbell tied for the team lead with seven goals and dished out six assists to lead the squad. Her 20 points also ranked atop the team leaderboard as she played in all 20 matches this season with 19 starts.

Sanchez scored three goals and added four assists during the season to wrap up her ECC career. She played in all 20 matches with 19 starts.

Heredia tied for second on the team with three goals on the year while also playing in every game during the season. She added one assist.
