El Camino College wrapped up its non-conference schedule last week with a pair of ranked opponents in the state.
No. 10 Pasadena 3, Warriors 0
The Warriors opened the week with a 25-14, 25-20, 25-21 loss to the No. 10 Lancers in a South Coast Conference non-division game at the Hutto-Patterson Gym.
Amiekal Looney led the team with seven kills and four blocks while Justine Sapitanan dished out 17 assists in the loss. Alison Ramirez added six kills and Yasmine Itani had five in the loss on Wednesday night.
No. 14 College of the Desert 3, Warriors 0
On Friday, the No. 14 Roadrunners swept past the Warriors 25-19, 25-18, 25-22 to close out the week. Itani hammered down eight kills to lead the team with Ramirez and Looney chipping in with six apiece and Sapitanan had a double-double with 19 assists and 11 digs in a losing effort.
The Warriors will get into SCC divisional play this week as they travel to Cerritos on Wednesday night at 6 p.m in ECC's only match of the week.
