TORRANCE, Calif. --- Amiekal Looney and Alison Ramirez both had career nights as El Camino College defeated East Los Angeles 3-2 (25-21, 18-25, 21-25, 25-20, 15-12) in a South Coast Conference match on Friday night at the ECC Gym Complex.
Looney set a new career high with 23 kills, logging her second straight 20-kill performance of the week. She posted a .413 attack percentage and also added two aces and three blocks in an outstanding all-around performance.
Ramirez logged a career-best 18 kills on Friday, just her second double-digit kill performance of the season. She also added five digs as the Warriors flew all around the court, collecting 92 digs as a team.
Cynthia Nario also set a new career high with 24 digs, her first career 20-dig performance. Jerelyn Justo added 19 digs while Jordyn Garlitos recorded 16 digs and nine kills with Justine Sapitanan dishing out 47 assists with nine digs.
The Warriors have now won three straight matches and will look to continue the winning streak on Wednesday, Oct. 22 on the road at Mt. San Antonio.
