TORRANCE, Calif. --- Sophomore Yasmine Itani and freshman Amiekal Looney led El Camino College to a 3-2 (26-24, 21-25, 25-21, 16-25, 15-10) South Coast Conference win over Rio Hondo on Friday night at the ECC Gym Complex.
Itani and Looney each led the Warriors with 13 kills apiece to help the Warriors pull out the victory. Justine Sapitanan recorded a double-double with 39 assists and 17 digs.
As a team, the Warriors had 93 digs with four players reaching double figures. Jordyn Garlitos had a team-high 25 digs with Cynthia Nario adding 22 and Jerelyn Justo pitching in with 11.
The Warriors will return to action on Wednesday night to host Cerritos at 6 p.m.
