Six Players Earn All-Conference Honors
TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College had six players selected to the 2025 All-South Coast Conference, South Division Team, it was announced this week.
Amiekal Looney, Cynthia Nario and Justine Sapitanan earned All-SCC First Team nods while Yasmine Itani, Jordyn Garlitos and Jerelyn Justo were All-SCC Second Team selections.
Looney led the Warriors with 261 total kills and a 3.11 kills per set average. She also led the defense with 66 total blocks including 21 solo efforts. She also added 20 service aces and eight assists on the season.
Nario led the Warriors with 282 digs and a 3.40 digs per set average. She played in all 25 matches as the libero, logging 83 total sets. She dished out 46 assists and was second on the team with 36 service aces.
Sapitanan played in all but one game during the regular season, logging 81 sets played. She dished out 585 assists and averaged 7.22 per set. She also added 21 kills, 21 service aces, 18 blocks and 228 digs.
Itani was the team' second-leading attacker during the year as she hammered down 166 kills while playing in 78 sets over 25 matches. She averaged 2.13 kills per set and added 52 digs and 13 blocks.
Garlitos was the team's biggest threat from the service line during the year as she led the team with 40 service aces. She also flew around on defense as she logged 209 digs for a 2.75 per set average and she also contributed 36 kills offensively.
Justo was a pillar of the team's defense as she logged 163 digs with a 2.01 per set average. She also finished third on the team with 33 service aces.
The Warriors finished the season with a 13-12 overall record and 5-3 mark in conference play. It was the team's first winning season since the 2019 campaign. They finished third in the conference and had a winning record in SCC play for the first time since 2022.
