Warriors Dominate Pasadena on the Road
PASADENA, Calif. --- El Camino College scored a dominant 18-2 victory over Pasadena in a South Coast Conference match Wednesday afternoon at Pasadena Poly High School.
The Warriors had 12 different players record a goal on Wednesday as they improved to 2-0 in conference play this year. Rachel Gardner led the team with three goals on eight shots with Bobbie Waiolama, Sophia Beghin, Lauren Reed and Monica Sanchez all scoring two goals apiece.
Carleigh Clark recorded the win in the cage as she made one save in two quarters of action while Waiolama made six saves.
The match was never in doubt as the Warriors scored the first four goals and took a 6-1 lead in the first period. They would score 12 unanswered goals before the Lancers finally tallied their second goal of the day in with 2:21 left in the fourth quarter.
The Warriors will take the rest of the week off before returning to action on Wednesday, Oct. 1 with another conference match against Chaffey at the ECC Aquatics Center. The match is set for 3 p.m.
