WALNUT, Calif. --- Freshman Jadeyn Skefich put an exclamation point on a historic regular season as she claimed the South Coast Conference individual title on Friday at the SCC Championships hosted by Mt. San Antonio.

Skefich became the first Warriors' women's conference champion since 1998 when Jasmine Hall claimed the SCC crown.

On Friday, Skefich finished the race in 18:32.1, more than 35 seconds better than runner up Katie Reyes of the host Mounties. The victory was Skefich's fourth victory of the season and second straight win at Mt. SAC after winning the Mt. SAC Invitational in her last outing. Friday's win also secured Skefich a spot on the All-SCC First Team.

In addition, sophomore Ayla Barbosa placed 12th overall with a time of 19:54.7 to claim a spot on the All-SCC Second Team.

Meanwhile, the Warriors placed sixth overall and qualified for the upcoming 3C2A Southern California Regional Finals.
