Skefich Earns All-American, All-State Honors at State Championships
FRESNO, Calif. --- The El Camino College cross country team wrapped up the 2025 season at the 3C2A State Championships on Saturday morning at Woodward Park in Fresno, Calif.
Freshman Jadeyn Skefich wrapped up a fantastic debut season with a sixth-place finish in the 169-runner field, posting a time of 18:16.14. With the result, Skefich earned All-American honors and First Team All-State accolades.
Her final time was also the fifth best mark at Woodward Park in ECC history.
Overall, the Warriors finished 19th in a field of 23 teams with 406 points. Mt. San Antonio took home the state championship on the women's side with 50 points while Orange Coast and San Diego Mesa rounded out the podium.
Sophomores Ayla Barbosa finished 50th (19:51.41) and Emily Gutierrez placed 110th (21:05.82) in their final race as Warriors.
Isla Gonzalez (23:19.92) and Denisse Ocampo (23:48.24) rounded out the finishers for the women.
On the men's side, Nathaniel Lincourt and Doyun Kim qualified for the race as individuals for ECC. Lincourt finished the race in 22:02.84 while Kim crossed the line in 22:25.41. Weston Greenlsh of Cuesta won the individual state title with a time of 19:50.91 while Cuyamaca took home the team state title with 90 points.
