WHITTIER, Calif. --- El Camino College opened its South Coast Conference series against Rio Hondo with an impressive 17-6 road win on Tuesday afternoon at The Jungle at Rio Hondo College.
The Warriors pounded out 16 hits with nine different players recording a hit. Dane Rhodes went 4-for-4 with a home run, three runs scored and three RBIs. Dylan A. Garcia was 3-for-5 with two runs and four RBIs with Gil Solis and Nolan Fox both recording two hits on the day.
Cameron O'Neil secured the win on the mound despite allowing six runs, four earned, on 11 hits in six innings of work. He walked two and struck out four.
Jett Lim, Kona Agena and Anthony Solis combined to throw three scoreless innings in relief with three strikeouts.
The Warriors have now won five straight games and nine of their last 10. They will look to clinch the series against the Roadrunners on Thursday at home with first pitch set for 2 p.m.
