TORRANCE, Calif. - The El Camino College Warriors finished out their nonconference slate with a 2-2 draw at home against Antelope Valley College.

The Warriors controlled the early part of their game. After getting a goal late in the first half, the Marauders were able to find a late equalizer to come away with a draw.

The Warriors went ahead 1-0 in the eighth minute.  Jaden Hancock played a through ball to Noah Edwards who's shot was saved.  Joshua Zendejas was there to clean up the spill and scored his fourth goal of the season.

The Warriors doubled their lead nearly five minutes later.  Amir Dawkins played a one two with Juan Urrutia near the midfield line. Urrutia played a perfect through ball to Dawkins who was able to beat the AVC keeper from the right side.

The Marauders got one goal back off a corner kick in the 38th minute on an open header by Kaleb Stokes.

The Warriors had a couple good looks to extend the lead back to two goals in the second half but couldn't capitalize on their eight shots in the second half.

Luis Avelar played the first half for the Warriors and made one save. Oswaldo Heranndez played the second half and made two saves.

The Warriors open up conference play next week at home against Los Angeles City College to finish out a 5-game homestand. Kickoff is set for 1:30 at the Warrior Soccer Field.
