Bugarin Leads Warriors to Third-Place Match at SCC Championships

NORWALK, Calif. --- Freshman Alex Bugarin had a stellar day offensively as he helped lead El Camino College to the third-place match at the South Coast Conference championships hosted by Cerritos College.
WARRIORS 15, CHAFFEY 6
Bugarin erupted for seven goals in the Warriors' first match of the day. He added one assist while taking 11 shots during the match. Zane Johnson added three goals and three assists with Vios Lopez making nine saves in the win.
LONG BEACH 22, WARRIORS 7
The Vikings scored 13 times in the first half and never looked back. Bugarin led the Warriors again with three goals on eight shots with Johnson adding three assists.
The Warriors will now face host Cerritos in the third-place match on Saturday afternoon at 12:15 p.m. The Warriors are looking to finish in third place for the second straight season after doing so in 2024.
