TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College suffered a 106-37 non-conference loss to visitng MiraCosta on Friday night at the ECC Gym Complex.
The Warriors were outscored 36-4 in the opening quarter and never recovered. The Spartans hit 18 3-pointers on the night and forced 40 Warriors turnovers to ignite the offense and spur the victory,
Christiauna Taylor led ECC with 11 points and added three rebounds with three assists. Malani Calbert had seven points with eight rebounds and Siobhan Baltazar scored eight points.
Melia Hinojos led the Spartans with 21 points in 19 minutes off the bench as four players finished in double figures.
The Warriors will return to action on Tuesday, Nov. 25 with a road game at College of the Canyons.
